HDS dates all the way back to 1982 when Mita Udeshi learnt stained glass as a hobby while traveling to the US for a sports meet when she was 18. Years later, along with her partner in the venture, Mr. Mirza Hasan Hyderi, she explored the art of stained glass painting, learning new techniques while also studying the old ways. Together they founded Hyderi Design Studio in 1996 with their first commissioned piece.

Fast forward to today – what our founders started as a hobby, grew into a passion. Glass is the medium we have picked to bring out the best a space has to offer. The idea behind owning a piece of art is the experience it provides.

While we have years of experience in the age-old techniques as well as modern ones brought about by new material science and technology, we also strive to create hybrids of multiple styles. Combination styles, if you will. We love to experiment with new ways to use glass as well as other art forms!

Each piece of art that we create for our clients is one of a kind, designed to be a timeless creation for a particular location with a specific design aesthetic.
